Replica Breguet Watches

See RSW watches on eBay here.

Jaquet Droz is another luxury Swatch Group watch brand. I've always seems them a cousin of Breguet (in terms of style), which is also a Swatch Group brand. The majority of their watches are based on a "grand (grande) seconds" display with places emphasis on the seconds read out using an overlapping subsidiary dial which is larger than the dial used to display the hours and minutes. Most of their watches have been "artsy" or formal looking, but the SUW is something different, sort of.

The landscape of the watch industry in Switzerland, at least, is a vast network of distributor relationships, parts makers, innovation conferences, and talent exchanges. That, and watch making is a labor of love that has the unique ability these days to connect the working class artisan, with a sometimes aristocratic class of buyers; those people that create with those people who "have." The most successful of watch makers combine the skill of design and of the industry. It is possible for a maker to enjoy high commercial success without delving into the realm of technical innovation or alike, simply by tastefully combining the existing elements and relationships available to them.

While, for the most part, the Bell-Matic may not be considered rare it is difficult to find one in decent enough condition that warrants the time and expense to restore it. A good percentage of the Bell-Matics I see have rusted cases and/or rusted movements and since parts for these watches can be difficult if not impossible to find it's always best to start with one in good condition. Also, not all watch makers will work on them.

There are a lot of exiting things to look forward to that are coming up. I've new sources for content and am working more closely with watch makers to bring you exclusive and hard to get information that you might not be able to find anywhere else. Regardless, I will continue to focus on all aspects of the watch market from the ultra high end, to humility on your wrist incarnate.

It’s Monte-Carlo. The year is 1973. The atmosphere is electric, the scenery breathtaking and the people beautiful. All along the French Riviera expectant spectators, their breaths held in anticipation, crane their necks in the direction of the distant, glorious roar of innumerable high-powered vehicles thundering towards them at a tremendous pace. In front of their very eyes history is in the making.

Jaquet Droz Grande Second SUW Watch: Sensitive Strong Looks Watch Releases Unfortunately, this otherwise handsome watch has had the ill treatment of yet another inept watch marketing or advertising employee. They selected to call this watch the "SUW." Yes, that means "sport utility watch," just like sport utility vehicle. Yea, you know what those are, and aren't you excited to see your watch (which might cost almost as much as the car) named after it. So what is the added sport utility of this watch? There is none, it just looks cooler and more aggressive than most Jaquet Droz watches. Faux armor plating. Is SUW a name worth placing on a watch this expensive? Of course not, it is a retarded name only a simpleton would actually place on a watch. I mean, would you buy a car called the Toyota SUV? No, you wouldn't. If you are like me, you are thinking to yourself, "what idiot let that name go to press?" Probably another watch marketing goon (no offense to the watch marketing goons that I know, its just that most of you know very little about watches and didn't choose your assignments). The message I want to make to the Swatch Group, and other watch makers is to please focus on making nice watches, and leave naming the watches to someone that actually does a good job at it (of which there seems to be a desperate shortage).

Another Japan Only Spring Drive Movement Watch Line: The Seiko Galante Models Watch Releases Another Japan Only Spring Drive Movement Watch Line: The Seiko Galante Models Watch Releases There are at least three functional models in the Seiko Galante line; a three hand, a GMT, and a chronograph. As is the case with the Spring Drive movement, each model features a power reserve (which is a healthy 72 hours for this movement). The models also vary in style - a lot. I am more taken by the Gothic font styled models, versus the roman numeral styled versions. However all are very nice. The Galante watches are on the large side at 43mm which is becoming increasingly common in high end Japanese watches, especially as most of the round dialed Citizen Campanola watches are 45mm wide. On both sides of the Galante watches are sapphire crystals, of course.  These purely luxury watches even though they have a sportiness to them in design. You might be unsure of how to assess these watches because the design combines so many styles. Consider this, Japanese design is very different than the American and European designs you might be used to.

Now Swiss Army Also Goes After The Breitling Aerospace With The Classic XLS MT Ana-Digi Watch

Now Swiss Army Also Goes After The Breitling Aerospace With The Classic XLS MT Ana-Digi Watch

Tissot Sea Touch Diving Watch: Officially Announced Watch Releases

'Real Avant Garde' German Temption CGK204 Watch Available Sales & Auctions One of the best parts of many Temption watches are the color variations offered. As you can see, the red theme is prevalent in this particular Temption CGK204. The same watch is offered in black, yellow, and I believe blue. Further, it is offered with white or black faces. The watch itself is about 43mm wide not including the crown. Temption makes extremely high quality steel cases with jeweled cabochons (in the crown and pushers) matched to the color trim, on the case. This is a really cool cosmetic features that Temption applies to most of their watches.

Credor is Seiko's ultra high end brand. They even have a ,000 watch that I will discuss in the next few days. That's right ,000 for a Seiko. Seiko's Spring Drive movement found its way into a few Credor watches, with this ref. GCLL997 Moonphase watch being a prime example. Style is similar but distinctly different than that of the Grand Seiko or Seiko Spring Drive watches that typically contain the movement. Further, Credor watches have never, and will probably never see American soil. At least from an official distribution standpoint.

Audemars Piguet Millenary Chronograph Watch At SIHH 2009 Shows & Events The case is in 18kt rose gold and measures 47mm x 42mm, pretty nicely sized! Inside, the mechanical movement is the automatic AP caliber 2385 with a power reserve of 40 hours (not exactly a stellar power reserve, but it is a chronograph movement). Sky blue is found throughout the dial as well as gold used for the out markers and the hands. It is a pretty bold little number, and a charming edition to something from Audemars Piguet that is not a Royal Oak watch. If you look on the rear of the watch, the branding reminds me too much of those fish you sometimes see attached to the back of people's cars. I think you know what I mean.

Then the people in production come in. Perhaps a few engineers, and figure out how to make it all work. "This is too expensive, this makes no sense, and why is there a chronograph that only counts sixty seconds?" And it just goes on like that. In another meeting the compromises are made because the design people can't fit in the dials for a full chronograph, and the marketing people needed a chronograph, you keep in the seconds counter, and have... a 60 second stopwatch. Really useful right? No, its not. Which sort of makes me understand the placement of the tachymeter (to measure speed) on the bezel, but that has next-to-no functional placement on a diver's watch. Usually this is where you place a rotating diver's bezel, which is absent here. The chronograph pushers are screwed in, which is cool, but the water resistance is curiously only 100m. So the point here is that while this resembles a diver watch, and has "diver" in the name, it is not a diver's watch in any functional way.

The diver's bezel is one of the best parts with its plated gold looks. It is really hard to do two-tone right. The resulting look is often gaudy looking. Rolex did it right, and here Eterna has shown that there are other nice ways of getting the same look. Going back to the bracelet, you'll notice lots of smaller links. This allows for a very form fitting bracelet that is going to be as comfortable as possible.

‘Survivor Man’ Les Stroud Now Wearing A Tissot T-Touch Trekking Wrist Watch

‘Survivor Man’ Les Stroud Now Wearing A Tissot T-Touch Trekking Wrist Watch

There really isn't anything negative to say about the Two-Timer watch. I'd like if it was a certified Chronometer, but that doesn't add extra function to it really. It just means that more money was spent to use the "Chronometer" certification title. The Linde Werdelin Two-Timer Biformeter watches currently goes for about ,400 and are available direct from Linde Werdelin, which is good as most of the time with watches you have to go through detached retailers. This way you can get Linde Werdelin's full attention. If you feel drawn to the Two-Timer Biformeter watch like I am, then don't worry about making the investment, because it will be hard to be disappointed given everything I've said about it. If the watch is out of your budget, then you have something to look forward to getting in the future. And if you are, or are planning on being a superhero and need a watch, you pretty much don't have a choice.

Knowing this you can always feel free to inquire as to the source of parts, and alike contained in a watch you are interested in. There are even those watches that are like wine; in that certain years are better than others given the parts available and used during segments of production. These are often the most collectible, and highly sought after. Yet another insight into the interesting and dynamic world which is the watch industry.

Veni Vidi Vici's own site is a bit unclear as to the movements they use. Actually, the site could use some work. I think they themselves mistake "chronograph" with "chronometer." Still, the watches are pretty cool. The three-hand watches appear to use a Swiss automatic movement, while the chronograph apparently uses a Swiss quartz movement. I like the clarity of the watch face. The watch hands design appears to be taken directly from such watches as the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak or a Patek Philippe Nautilus. So there are nice influences at work here.
